Dayco developed the technology of raw edge construction in 1921, to answer the fledgling automotive industry’s need for a long lasting v-belt that could tolerate the requirements of higher horsepower engines. This technology was so fundamentally correct in design that it has been made continuously since then with alterations only in materials… not in basic design. By incorporating the flexibility derived from bottom cogs with the gripping power of raw edge construction this belt delivers the maximum power demanded from belt drives utilizing small diameter pulleys. Polyester cord provides extreme tension-holding capability for longer belt life.
